Outlines the difficulties of making such an assessment, including the differing views of various interested parties about what would constitute a successful rescue. Outlines the development of the corporate rescue culture in the UK, focusing on the administration procedure introduced by the Enterprise Act 2002. Divides performance indicators into four categories, namely achievement of input, process, output and outcome objectives.
