OpenScout stands for "Skill based scouting of open user-generated and community-improved content for management education and training". OpenScout is a project co-funded by the European Commission within the eContentplus Programme as a Targeted Project in the area of Educational Content (Grant ECP 2008 EDU 428016). OpenScout started in September 2009 and has a duration of three years. More information about the project can be found at openscout.net.
OpenScout aims at providing an education service in the internet that enables users to easily find, access, use and exchange open content for management education and training. These functionalities will be included in the final version of the web portal together with social network functionalities which will enable users to add friends, build groups and work collaboratively. At this point the web portal allows users to search, rate, comment and tag learning materials and to use some basic collaborative tools such as Google docs and Google talk. Additionally external tools for communication such as Flashmeeting and IMO (Instant Messaging) are already available and running. This page will be continuously updated. So enjoy your stay.
